So I find out hat I'm gluten intolerant. I hate the word "gluten" for a couple of reasons
First Doctors will not tell you what it is unless you ask. Unless something is "gluten free" it isn't even mentioned on the labels of food. Just tell me I'm intolerant to wheat instead and, we can go on with life. Why can't products have the words "wheat free" on their packages.
Second it seems food manufactures do not seem to know what ingredients are in their food. It may be manufactured from a plant that makes products with gluten in it. Even Domino's "gluten free" pizza makes this disclaimer. Not to mention that Domino's "gluten free" pizza only comes in one size. Look at a bag of Herr's potato chips in you get a chance. the label reads "may contain sunflower, canola, or cottonseed oil" So which is it? Doesn't the FDA force you to know what ingredients in your food?
That's may rant for now. Feel freer ot check out my website at www.comedianbobfarrell.com for some actual comedy.

Worship Issues
As a Christian, I love worshiping the TRINITY, however there are some things that are a distraction to me:
In my church one of worship leaders will say " We're going to teach you a new song " This is normally not a problem, but, ninety percent of the time we do not ever sing that song again. Why should we learn it? Maybe there should be a more honest introduction to the song. After all being honest is what GOD wants us to be right? Maybe we should hear , "We probably won't sing this song again, but we're going to teach it to you anyway."

We often sing songs in a key that most men if they can hit it, they can't sustain it. I think my voice cracking worse than a teenage boy would provide more of a distraction to those around me. I'm sure the wives of other guys feel the same way.
There is also the person who can't sing well ,and throws you off. Okay this is probably the category I fall into.I normally sing better when I'm pretending Which explains why my friends ditch me to go sit somewhere else once the service begins, or why my wife is the only one who sits next to me .I normally sing better when I'm pretending to be somebody else. My Neil Diamond is awesome, just ask my wife.
The person who worships weirdly, like having his hand in his back pocket tapping in beat to the music. Yes I actually saw this. I'm sorry, seeing somebody pat their rear end in worship is distracting. If you do this please stop it.
There is the woman who wears too much perfume , and cause allergy attacks to the people around her. Where are her girlfriends to help her? She must not have any friends. Seriously ladies, help this poor woman apply perfume correctly.
I have a odd ability to write parody lyrics in my head. I guess I must have listened to too much Weird Al growing up.
This is my, and my wife, thinking of somebody singing with bad breath to the tune of Chris Tomlin's song "How Great is our GOD"
Your breath really stinks
You need a mint
Your breath really stinks
Don't sing with me
Your breath your breath really stinks
I'm not alone in this affliction. A friend of mine ,who happens to be a worship leader, was thinking this in regards to Chris Tomlin's song "Indescribable" Apparently he was watching "The Princess Bride" recently.
Inconceivable
Inconceivable
This word does not mean what you think it does mean
You are such a clod (okay that last line was mine)

The Two Faces of Comedians
It is said that comedians have two faces There is the funny person that the audience, and the private person who has some hidden pain. To a degree that's true of me. In my case, I would consider these just two different sides of a milt-dimensional person.
I struggle with depression. What started it, I have no idea. It could be partially genetics. It could be the betrayal of a childhood "friend" and his family when I was young. It could be never really feeling that I fit in.
Robin Williams' suicide has the possibility of depression becoming a better topic of discussion. I think this is a good thing, even though things like what is happening in Palestine, etc are being ignored.
Some may call Robin a coward for taking his own life, others are intolerant of those with a different viewpoint to the point where they wish those they disagree with would kill themselves. When in the midst of depression, all you focus on is the sadness seemingly never ending sadness. Depression is a spiritual issue.
What gets me through those times of depression?
The first thing is the gospel. Knowing that I'm a sinner, and that my worth is not based on anything I have done, or not done or how I feel. My worth comes from GOD sending HIS son (JESUS) to die on the cross for my sins. This was not done out of obligation, but out of love.
The second thing is my experience. I know from prior experience that. I am not seeing the forest due to the trees, and eventually this depression will end. I need to just keep putting one foot in front of the other.
Certainly if those don't work then tell somebody. A family member, friends, your pastor anybody. You can also contact http://www.suicidepreventionlifeline.org/http: or call

It's Ok.. A Parental Nightmare
One of the things I hate most as a parent is, when you tell your child "No" , but the other adult with you says."Oh it's ok."
First, it is bad enough when my four year old has candy. We tend to know the limits of when she just becomes overly hyperactive , or when she has become a cross between the Tasmanian Devil and The Incredible Hulk ( when he's angry). Trust me. You would not like my four year old daughter when she's angry.
Next comes when she sees that you have a dog. Not I'll admit we have two cats, but they either are used to my daughter's rough play, or they simply run away from her and hide all day under my bed. I blame electronic toys like "Tickle Me Elmo". You push on Elmo's hand, and he makes a noise. She pulls on the canine's tail, and it makes a noise. The dog's owner is left wondering why the pooch has a nervous tick every time we come over.
The last thing I'm worried about is what these adults will say when my curious daughter tries to put a fork in an electrical socket. They may be tired of my daugher's rages, the pet psychiatry bills, and finally tell her ," It's ok."
